Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and lineal boxing heavyweight champion Tyson Fury have signed with the WWE to perform at a show in Saudi Arabia.

Velazquez and Fury will take part in WWE Crown Jewel, which will be held at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh on October 31st. Undefeated heavyweight boxer Fury will face Braun Strowman, whilst Velasquez faces former opponent Brock Lesnar, whom he won the UFC heavyweight title against back in 2010.

Fight fans rejoice, as a much-talked about showdown between top Featherweights, Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung, has been made official. Indeed, the promotion announced earlier today (Mon., Sept. 23) that the two men will headline the upcoming UFC Fight Night 165 event on December 21, 2019 inside Sajik Arena in Busan, South Korea.

Bellator 228: “Pitbull vs. Archuleta” takes place this weekend (Sat., Sept. 28, 2019) at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif., streaming live online via DAZN. The main event will feature “Pitbull” Patricio Freire (29-4) defending his Featherweight title against “The Spaniard” Juan Archuleta (23-1) in the opening round of the promotion’s 16-main, $1 million Featherweight Grand Prix tournament.

UFC Fight Night 159 from Mexico City went completely sideways during the main event, with the much anticipated Yair Rodriguez vs. Jeremy Stephens scrap ending over an eyepoke just 15 seconds into the fight. The UFC welterweight title picture is really starting to heat up lately, which makes it all the more frustrating when an actual title defense from division champ Kamaru Usman seems nowhere near to happening. The UFC tried to set up a long awaited scrap between Usman and #1 contender Colby Covington, but money issues derailed that one.
