One of the defining aspects of Diego Sanchez’s career was his ability to take insane amounts of punishment in his fights, but avoid getting knocked out. His only stoppage loss prior to the start of 2016 was the infamous cut he suffered against B.J. Penn at UFC 107 back in 2009.

The UFC’s latest ‘Fight Night’ event in Norfolk, VA ended up being something of a strange affair. After pulling out of his UFC 218 fight against champ Max Holloway, UFC featherweight contender Frankie Edgar expects to get back to full-contact training in six weeks.

Frankie Edgar’s fight-cancelling injury is only a “minor setback,” he said.

The UFC featherweight contender released a statement on Instagram less than two hours after his withdrawal from an upcoming title fight against Max Holloway at UFC 218.
