For the last few days, the Twitter feud between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov has gotten to an entirely different level. So much so that even UFC president Dana White, who never considered imposing behavioral guidelines on both fighters, admitted that things may have already gotten out of hand.

It was McGregor who took things a little further by hurling insults towards Khabib’s wife and family, which he did delete. Khabib went on to respond with a rapist accusation, a retort stemming from the Irishman’s sexual assault allegations in Dublin.

Observing from the sidelines as the tweets were thrown around is Cris Cyborg, who has seemingly had enough of the bad blood between the two. While not directly mentioning either fighter, the former women’s featherweight champion issued a response, calling for some civility.

Cyborg is not the first fighter to be vocal against trash-talking in MMA. Both Jorge Masvidal and Beneil Dariush also agree that such actions are unnecessary for the sport.
