Conor McGregor is back on stage next week in New York... but fans aren’t invited.

UFC president Dana White confirmed that there while there would be no World Tour for Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor, we would see a couple of press conferences for the UFC 229 mega-fight. As of Wednesday, the first presser has been finalized.

The UFC announced that Nurmagomedov and McGregor will appear on stage at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on Thursday, September 20th. White is also going to be present, along with credentialed media, but the event is closed off to the public. Of note is that UFC 230 tickets for November 3rd go on sale to the public the following day, so we should have a main event announced for that card soon.

Nurmagomedov (26-0) is making his first title defense after defeating short-notice replacement Al Iaquinta at UFC 223. McGregor (21-3) returns to the Octagon after nearly two years away from the sport, as he earned a massive boxing payday in a losing effort vs. Floyd Mayweather in August 2017. These two are bitter rivals, with McGregor’s UFC 223 bus attack targeted at Khabib, who was unharmed in the incident.

The UFC 229: Khabib vs. McGregor press conference stream is set for 5 PM ET/2 PM PT. As for the actual fight itself, those two will compete for Khabib’s lightweight title on Saturday, October 6th at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
