Woodley and Florian give different takes on Conor McGregor's future in MMA.

At this point, Conor McGregor's future as a mixed martial artist is uncertain.

UFC president Dana White is 'confident' that the Irishman will return to MMA after his mega-money boxing showdown against Floyd Mayweather Jr. to defend his UFC lightweight title, but fans can't see why he would return to the Octagon for a significantly lower paycheck.

UFC Tonight hosts Tyron Woodley and Kenny Florian gave their take on Wednesday, and both men offered interesting view points.

Woodley, the current UFC welterweight champion, believes 'The Notorious' will probably fight again - but, perhaps not in MMA.

"I think he will fight again. It really just depends on where his head is at," Woodley said on yesterday's show, per Damon Martin of FOX Sports. "Because we can all say 'oh I can keep on fighting.' He's going to make a lot of money. That money can set somebody up for life if they do it right and invest it.

"If he goes out there and he smokes Floyd Mayweather, I think we're going to see him fight Floyd Mayweather again and he's going to make more money."

Florian, on the other hand, thinks McGregor could potentially retire from combat sports altogether if he loses badly enough on August 26.

"I think if Conor gets beat up badly in this fight, I don't think he's going to come back in any capacity," Florian said. "If he gets out of this with a 12 round loss or whatever and doesn't take too much damage, I think we'll see him again. Certainly if he wins, we might see him again."

Mayweather vs. McGregor, which is set to be one of the biggest pay-per-view events in sports history, takes place on August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
