UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier will defend his title against Anthony Johnson in the UFC 210 main event.

The UFC’s first trip to Buffalo, New York since 1995 has its main event.

On Wednesday’s episode of UFC Tonight, UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier announced that he’ll be fighting Anthony Johnson at UFC 210 on Saturday, April 8th. This fight was previously scheduled for December’s UFC 206 in Toronto, only for Cormier to withdraw due to injury.

Cormier (18-1) didn’t defend his title at all in 2016, but that certainly wasn’t by choice. He pulled out of his rematch with Jon Jones at UFC 197, and then Jones failed his pre-fight USADA drug test when the fight was re-scheduled for UFC 200. Cormier instead fought Anderson Silva at the last minute, and won a unanimous decision. His last defense of his belt was a thrilling split decision win over Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 192 in October 2015.

Johnson (22-5) fought twice last year, with those fights lasting a combined 1 minute and 39 seconds. He destroyed Ryan Bader in the UFC on FOX 18 in January, then wrecked Glover Teixeira in thirteen seconds at UFC 202 in August. “Rumble” fought Cormier for the LHW belt at UFC 187, but after dropping Cormier early in the opening round, Cormier dominated Johnson and choked him out in round three.

UFC 210 also features a middleweight bout between former champion Chris Weidman and rising contender Gegard Mousasi. The night’s main card airs live on pay-per-view from Buffalo’s KeyBank Center.
