Top UFC middleweight Kelvin Gastelum is not convinced that his UFC 236 opponent Israel Adesanya has earned his shot at the interim middleweight title.

Gastelum and Adesanya will fight for the interim 185-pound strap in the co-main event of UFC 236 next weekend. A fight between current champion Robert Whittaker and Gastelum was supposed to take place at UFC 234 in February, but Whittaker pulled out on the day of the event and the fight was cancelled.

In the UFC Philadelphia main event, the promotion’s #8 ranked lightweight Justin Gaethje rocked the #6 ranked Edson Barboza early on, and then proceeded to knock him out with a single right hand at the midpoint of the opening round. Gaethje has now knocked out all three of his UFC victims, and has still yet to see some scorecards within the promotion. What will be next for ever-exciting and heavy handed Gaethje?

Ben Askren is in demand. The new UFC welterweight already has a big, albeit controversial over a former champion and there are a few guys that want a shot at him. It looks like the next person across from him in the Octagon will be Jorge Masvidal, which Leon Edwards is not a fan of. After all, Edwards wanted some revenge on Masvidal for his ‘three-piece and a soda’ in front of the media in London.
