ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong handed out four performance bonuses to various martial artists who claimed victory at ONE 156: Eersel vs. Sadikovic on Friday, 22 April.

ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Champion Regian Eersel, inaugural ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Smilla Sundell, and five-time BJJ World Champion Mikey Musumeci received US$50,000 checks.

Also, Liam Harrison earned the second US$100,000 performance bonus in ONE history for his spectacular comeback victory.

In the ONE 156 main event, Eersel successfully defended his lightweight kickboxing belt for the fourth time against hard-hitting German Arian Sadikovic.

“The Immortal” survived a second-round knockdown from the challenger and then rallied to secure a hard-fought unanimous decision win.

In the co-main event, Sundell made history at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The 17-year-old Swedish phenom overwhelmed Jackie Buntan via unanimous decision to become ONE Championship’s first-ever women’s strawweight Muay Thai queen.

By claiming the gold, “The Hurricane” also entered the record books as the youngest-ever ONE World Champion.
Harrison was one of the biggest winners of the night.

After being knocked down twice in the opening minute of his fight with “Elbow Zombie” Muangthai PK.Saenchai, the English legend dropped his rival three times in the same frame to score a wild come-from-behind TKO victory.

That earned “Hitman” the only US$100,000 bonus of the night – and the next shot at Nong-O Gaiyanghadao’s ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Title

On the ONE 156 lead card, Musumeci earned a performance bonus for his spectacular promotional debut.

The 25-year-old American known as “Darth Rigatoni” trapped Japanese legend Masakazu Imanari’s arm and forced him to tap out via rear-naked choke less than five minutes into their submission grappling match. (ONE FC)
