Following a turn of events, Jihin “Shadow Cat” Radzuan will face a two-time ONE World Title challenger in her upcoming appearance at ONE: BAD BLOOD.

The Malaysian star had been scheduled to meet Jenelyn “The Graceful” Olsim in a main card battle at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday, 11 February, but she will instead square off against Mei “V.V” Yamaguchi on the night’s lead card.

Filipino upstart Olsim was forced to the sidelines due to injury, but Japanese icon Yamaguchi eagerly stepped up to the plate for this atomweight mixed martial arts clash.

With 35 professional MMA bouts under her belt, “V.V” will be the most experienced adversary of Jihin’s career to date, and the 23-year-old Malaysian needs these kinds of challenges as she aims for the top of the division.

“Shadow Cat” defeated the tough Bi “Killer Bee” Nguyen in her last outing and wants to continue that positive momentum in the bustling weight class, which recently took the spotlight through the epic ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix.

For Yamaguchi, this appearance is a chance to show that her veteran savvy is still enough to compete with the next generation of rising stars on the global stage.

Her pair of five-round World Title wars against reigning atomweight queen “Unstoppable” Angela Lee remain two of the standout fights in ONE history, and she wants to prove that she’s not done yet.

But at 39, a setback would be massive, so “V.V.” will bring everything she has to “The Lion City.”

ONE: BAD BLOOD is topped by two massive World Title bouts, with Bibiano “The Flash” Fernandes and John “Hands of Stone” Lineker duking it out for bantamweight gold, and Anatoly “Sladkiy” Malykhin meeting Kirill Grishenko for the ONE Interim Heavyweight World Championship. (One Championship)
