UFC 239 is almost here, and as usual, Embedded is here as well. The show that gives you an inside look at the marquee contestants on PPVs has issued the fifth episode for this weekend’s big show in the Vegas, and it serves as a brief introduction to the fighters at the top of the card.

We start off with Michael Chiesa, who is going to the airport to pick up his girlfriend and mother. They drive by the Apex gym, where is where the Contender Series is filmed now. Back at New York New York, Amanda Nunes and Nina Ansaroff are getting ready to go to the World MMA Awards.

In the limo, Nunes says she’s not going to buy Ansaroff a car - she’s going to buy her “fake boobies”. They can’t be big though, because Ansaroff says she won’t ever make 115 pounds again.

A bunch of MMA fighters make cameos at the awards. Amanda Nunes wins a total of three awards. She thanks the fans for everything, and says she’ll take home a new UFC belt on Sunday.

Now it’s Ultimate Media Day. Chiesa talks about watching Diego Sanchez win TUF 1. Sanchez is extremely strange, as usual. “Guy’s a f—kin’ weirdo,” Chiesa says. Good call. Luke Rockhold comments on Jan Blachowicz’s small feet. Jan says he’s gonna feel them. Ben Askren and Jorge Masvidal bicker with each other.

Holly Holm talks about “coming with intention”. Nunes raises both her belts. Thiago Santos says he’s prepared. Jon Jones stares at him briefly, then looks away. He says he’s comfortable in this spot, and says that fighters getting their first shot should save their energy. “Because they’re gonna need it.”

UFC 239 goes down tomorrow night in the T-Mobile Arena in Vegas.
