It’s fight-week for Saturday’s stacked UFC 238 card, so that means Bloody Elbow is back to bring you the midweek betting odds.
The UFC’s vacant bantamweight belt will be on the line in the main event when flyweight champ Henry Cejudo meet’s the #1 ranked 135-pounder Marlon Moraes. Despite knocking out the former bantamweight champ TJ Dillashaw, at 125-pounds, Cejudo is the betting underdog here. The more lethal striker in Moraes is the betting favorite. Cejudo is available with a moneyline of +115, with true bantamweight Moraes sitting at -135.
Cejudo has made up some ground. Since first opening at +148, the flyweight king has steadily made his march towards a favored line. Since beginning with a favored mark of -185, Moraes has settled in around where he’s at now. Don’t expect to see him dip much closer to underdog territory, but Cejudo might end up with all minus lines come fight-time.
The over/under for this main event matchup has been set at 3.5 rounds. The ‘under’ is available at a -130 moneyline with a +100 comeback on the ‘over.’ The oddsmakers project that this one is ending early. ‘Fight doesn’t go to decision’ can be scooped at -170 with ‘Fight goes to decision’ available at underdog odds at +140. Neither athlete is favored to get the knockout. ‘Cejudo wins by TKO/KO’ can be had for +450 with ‘Any other result’ at -750. ‘Moraes by TKO/KO’ can be taken at +160 with ‘Any other result’ at -210.
The UFC women’s flyweight title will be up for grabs in the UFC 238 co-main event when champion Valentina Shevchenko meets the #1 ranked Jessica Eye. Shevchenko is wildly favored over her challenger. Her moneyline is maxing out as high as -1600 on some betting sites. As for the streaking Eye, she can be found with a massive underdog liner of +900. The over/under for this co-main event matchup has been set at 4.5 rounds. The ‘over’ is favored here at -120 with the ‘under’ at a dog tag of +100.
Also on the UFC 238 PPV main card, former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson makes his return tot he Octagon to square up with the resurrected Donald Cerrone. Despite opening as a -293 betting favorite, Ferguson is now available at a much lower line of -155. Cerrone started his UFC 238 betting life as a +237 underdog, but has since dropped down to a mark of +125. The over/under for this high-stakes lightweight matchup has been set at 2.5 rounds. Both the ‘over’ and the ‘under’ are available with minus lines. The ‘under’ clocks in at -105 with the ’over’ slightly more favored at -115.
