The Professional Fighters League, the fastest growing and most innovative sports league in the world, keeps the momentum going tonight, with Week 5 of the 2022 PFL Challenger Series. Mixed martial artists from around the world will compete for a chance at a life-changing contract with the PFL. Week 5 will feature fighters in the lightweight division.

The 2022 PFL Challenger Series emanates from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and viewers can watch LIVE exclusively on fuboTV starting at 9PM ET. PFL Challenger Series is available exclusively on Fubo Sports Network as part of a fuboTV subscription that includes more than 100 sports, news and entertainment channels.

Tonight’s main event features Bruno “Robusto” Miranda (13W-3L) of Brazil going up against Carson Frei (9W-4L) of the United States. A proven knockout artist with 8 of his 13 career wins coming by KO, Miranda comes into tonight’s bout having won five of his last six bouts. He makes his US debut tonight, and hopes to make it a memorable one by taking home a PFL contract. Facing arguably the toughest test of his career, Frei looks to make a statement by taking out a dangerous opponent in Miranda. Frei isn’t a finisher, but he gets the job done, having won three of his last four bouts. The Idaho native has his sights set on a spot on the PFL roster.

In the co-main event, Damir “The Bosnian Barn Cat” Ferhatbegovic (5W-2L-1D) of Bosnia and Herzegovina meets New Zealand’s BJ “Quicksand” Bland (15W-10L). A former Valor Fighting Challenge Lightweight Champion, Ferhatbegovic hopes to ride the momentum of three straight wins into a potentially life-changing contract at tonight’s fights. Standing in his way is Bland, who has put together a three-fight winning streak of his own. The City Kickboxing product hopes to finally break into the big stage with a PFL contract win.

Also on the card, Michael “The Canadian Badass” Dufort (8W-4L) of Canada takes on Arut “Prime Time” Pogosjan (9W-3L) of Armenia. A product of the world-renowned Tristar Gym in Montreal, Dufort boasts a 100% finishing rate, having won all eight of his fights by stoppage - six coming by submission. He aims to continue that impressive run and take home a highly-coveted PFL contract. A life-long martial artist, Pogosjan started with Taekwondo at age 5, before transitioning to boxing and MMA later on. He is on a three-fight winning streak, which includes knockout wins.

Opening the card is the undefeated Yanal “Red Fox” Ashmouz (5W-0L) of Israel faces Dennis “DJ” Hughes (7W-3L) of the United States. Undefeated in all five of his professional bouts so far, Ashmouz has finished all of his opponents, three by knockout and two by submission. He tries to keep his undefeated streak going tonight en route to a PFL contract. Standing in his way is Hughes, who comes in having won five of his last six fights. Tonight, he looks for the biggest win of his career.
