All is set for the World Series of Fighting – Global Championship’s (WSOF-GC) first card at the Smart Araneta Coliseum July 30.

Five Filipino fighters will face international combatants from China, Malaysia, Pakistan, Brazil, and Malaysia, among others.

The co-main event features Mario Sismundo versus China’s Keremuaili Maimaitituoheti. Other fights include former world boxing champion Jujeath Nagaowa versus Malaysia’s Audreylaura Boniface, Neil Larano versus Pakistan’s Ahmed “Wolverine” Mujtaba, Jenelyn Olsim versus Brazil’s Nayara Hemily, and Jessdan dela Pena versus Malaysia’s Kelvin Ong.

A day before, the fighters finished their weigh-ins, with all main card fighters making the required weight, including Evgeny Erokhin of Russia  and Richard Odoms of the United States who will face each other for the Heavyweight Title Main Event.

Dela Pena, however, did not reach his contracted weight of 155, tipping the scales at 162. He was given two hours to cut to 160 and after he failed to do so, the fight was declared official with an agreed upon 50% of Dela Pena’s total fight purse to be given to Ong.
