GENERAL TRIAS CITY will be hosting this year's 1st Cong. Luis “Jon-jon” Ferrer IV and Mayor Antonio “Ony” Ferrer Cup General Trias City 3-on-3 Rapid Chess Team Tournament
2050 & Below Average Team Rating on May 20,2018 at the Robinsons Place General Trias.
A whopping P90,000 total pot prize awaits the winners with the team champion getting the lion share of P25,000 plus elegant trophy according to tournament director Fide National Arbiter and Fide National Instructor Norlito Tagalog in this National Chess Federation of the Philippines to be santioned tournament back up by Cong. Luis "Jon-jon" Ferrer IV, Mayor Antonio "Ony" Ferrer, Councilor Jonas Labuguen, Councilor Jowie Carampot and Cantela Bros.
"Each team must be composed of three players only who shall play a fixed board assigment fro Boards 1, 2 and 3 for the entire tournament. Only one titled player is allowed per team who shall play in Board 1 only, in exception of Women Master, can play two women master for each team or one Men master plus a women master." explained by tournament director Fide National Arbiter and Fide National Instructor Norlito Tagalog about the Team Rules and Composition.
"The Team Average Rating must be 2050 & below NCFP rating. For purpose of team rating computation, unrated players or players with below 1800 NCFP rating shall be given an assumed rating of 1800.
For entitlement to Top Gentri Team prize, a team must be composed at least two Gentri residents registered players." he added.
Officiated by Accredited / licensed arbiters from the Chess Arbiter Union of the Philippines (CAUP) and FIDE led by FNA Norlito Tagalog (tournament director), FNA Richard dela Cruz (asst. tournament director), International Arbiter Gene Poliarco (chief arbiter), International Arbiter Ilann Perez (deputy chief arbiter), International Arbiter Patrick Lee (arbiter) and FNA Alfredo Chay (arbiter).
Registration fee is P 2,500 on-site and P2,300 (if payment received on or before May 18, 2018).
