THE Chess Education For Age-Group (CEFAG) Chess Championships winds up its fourth-leg eliminations in Calamba on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Activity Center, Waltermart Makiling-Calamba, Laguna.

Like in the first three elims held in various place, the Calamba leg offers berths in the finals set May 6, 2018 at the Waltermart Sucat, Paranaque City, the chase for the top ten (10) spots in the elementary and high school divisions tipped to be fierce and tight.

Another full-packed field is expected in the Calamba stop of the grass roots National Chess Federation of the Philippines to be sanctioned tournament in close cooperation with Calamba Chess Society headed by its president Ernie Gonzales according to event organizers sportsman Ed Madrid, National Arbiters Boyet Tardecilla, Ernie Baltazar and Jeffrey Santos.

The five (5) rounds swiss-system rapid chess tournament with a time control of twenty-minutes (2) plus five (5) seconds time delay mode per player to finish the game.
