Devin Haney’s promoter Eddie Hearn says he’ll be looking to stage the undisputed lightweight clash between Devin and George Kambosos Jr. in April or May in the Middle East, the U.S, or Australia.

Hearn appears to be trying to rush a decision by Kambosos by acting quickly by talking up the Haney fight as if it’s a done deal.

The British promoter Hearn is using a high-pressure salesman technique by talking as if the buyer [Kambosos] has already decided to purchase his product [Haney], even if there are better options [Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis, and Vasily Lomachenko] out in the marketplace.

Eddie Hearn reveals that conversations have begun for a possible step aside deal for Anthony Joshua to allow Tyson Fury to face Oleksandr Usyk next for the undisputed heavyweight championship.

During an interview on Friday, Hearn casually mentioned that Joshua might need $40 million for the step aside, which obviously will not happen.

Hearn says that if the offer from Fury’s team makes sense, he’ll present it to former IBF/WBA/WBO champion Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs), but until then, AJ will be facing Usyk next as planned.

According to Hearn, Joshua just wants the rematch with Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) to avenge his loss to the Ukrainian fighter last September.

Terence Crawford feels it was a mistake that his fight with Shawn Porter was shown on the ESPN+ app for pay-per-view last Saturday night.

It’s questionable whether it would have significantly improved the PPV numbers if Top Rank had placed Crawford’s fight with Porter if it wasn’t put on the ESPN+ app.

If you took a look at social media during the last two weeks during the build-up for the Crawford-Porter fight, there was minimal talk about the contest.

There was arguably more interest in a day-to-day discussion about Anthony Joshua, Canelo Alvarez, and Tyson Fury than Crawford vs. Porter.
