Paul Butler has described the “unbelievable” feeling of becoming a two-time bantamweight champion of the world.

Butler out-pointed late replacement Jonas Sultan at Probellum Liverpool tonight to claim the WBO interim world title in front of his passionate fans.

The expectation is that the WBO will officially elevate Butler to the full champion and the 33-year-old and his fans are this evening celebrating him becoming a two-time title holder.

Jazza Dickens wants a fight with WBA world featherweight champion Leigh Wood after he impressively stopped Andoni Gago at Probellum Liverpool.

Dickens was back in action after losing last summer’s world title fight with Kid Galahad but delivered a statement of intent by landing a crunching uppercut on the former European champion that sent him to the canvas in the fifth round.

Paul Butler will face WBO Intercontinental bantamweight champion Jonas Sultan in his huge homecoming fight at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena which tops a thrilling Probellum card on April 22.

With John Riel Casemiro being forced to pull out of facing Butler for the second time in the space of a few months, his Filipino countryman Sultan has been mandated to step up to fight for the interim bantamweight world title by WBO.

Superbly skilled, focussed and accurate, Errol Spence Jr (28-0, 22 KO’s) delivered one of the most riveting wins of his life by stopping Cuban titlist Yordenis Ugas, shutting his right eye in ten hot rounds of action to become a 3-belt WBC/WBA/IBF welterweight world champion Saturday night at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.


Game Ugas (27-5, 12 KO’s) tried to control the action standing in front of Spence in an attempt to gain control with big counter shots. But "The Truth," who comes from an eye surgery himself, bested his foe, landing repeatedly on the Cuban former Olympian with damaging uppercuts, like the big one in the attached photo.
