Dekada’s Albert Onolunose Wins N.A.B.O Middleweight Title in Montreal
Thursday, March 15, 2018
In the world of boxing, coming into someone else’s home town can stack the odds against you, especially in a big title fight and even more so when you leave it to the judges.

Calgary’s own, Dekada boxer, Albert Onolunose defeated the odds by out performing Montreal’s Francis Lafreniere and winning a major championship, the N.A.B.O. Middleweight Title.

This was a major upset for the city of Montreal but Onolunose’s team went into this fight with a lot of confidence due to his epic camp at Bowmont Boxing Club leading up to this fight.

Onolunose is now 24-1-1 and will be ranked as #15 in the world opening many possibilities for a world title fight in the near future.

“First Steve Claggett and now Albert Onolunose.” Says Dennis Herrmann, Dekada Co-Owner. “I think it’s safe to say that western Canada is a major force to be reckoned with all of a sudden.”

The team will be returning to Calgary tomorrow evening and there is sure to be some celebrations among Albert’s friend’s, team mates and fans.

This is a big win for Onolunose and the West.

Dekada’s next event is scheduled for Saturday April 7th and will feature another major main event with 42-5-4 Michael Farenas from Team Pacquiao who will square off against 34-14-0 Guadalupe Rosales
