Filipino lightweight Michael “Hammer Fist” Farenas, who has only fought once since 2015, is reviving his boxing career with a comeback on April 7 against Mexican Guadalupe Rosales.

The match is part of Dekada Fight Night at the Gray Eagle Resort and Casino in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Farenas (42-5-4 34 KOs) said that this battle against Rosales (34-14 18 KOs) will “create a lasting memory” for him in boxing.

“I am in good condition. Sabi nga nila, may asim paraw ang angas ko,” said Farenas who trains at Freddie Roach’s Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles with Marvin Somodio and Jesse Arevalo.

He thanked God for the strength He gives, his family for inspiration, and his manager Germaine Gillies for the support.
