The winner of this Saturday’s fight between Dillian Whyte and Dereck Chisora won’t necessarily be penciled in by Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn for IBF/IBO/WBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua’s next title defense on April 13 at Wembley Stadium. According to Hearn, the Whyte-Chisora winner is the third option for Joshua’s next fight in April, behind the following choices: 1. Deontay Wilder and 2. Tyson Fury.

MANCHESTER, England (Dec. 19, 2018) — Carl "The Jackal" Frampton (26-1, 15 KOs) is a former two-division world champion, while Josh Warrington (27-0, 6 KOs) is the undefeated IBF featherweight world champion looking to add a marquee name to his record.

Warrington, the newly minted champion from Leeds, England, will make the first defense of his title against Frampton on Saturday from Manchester Arena. In one of the co-features, former two-time Irish Olympian Michael "Mick" Conlan (9-0, 6 KOs) will battle veteran southpaw Jason Cunningham (24-5, 6 KOs) in a 10-rounder for the WBO Intercontinental featherweight title.

Saul Canelo will be fighting twice in 2019 and looking to unify the middleweight division, according to sources from ESPN. Canelo (51-1-2, 35 KOs) wants to win all four of the world titles in the 160 lb weight class in 2019, starting with the IBF belt held by Daniel Jacobs (35-2, 29 KOs) on May 4 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The venue has already been booked ahead of time by Golden Boy Promotions for Alvarez.

Former four division world champion Adrien ‘The Problem’ Broner is badly in need of a victory next month in his fight against Manny Pacquiao on January 19 on SHOWTIME pay-per-view at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. At one time Broner (33-3-1, 24 KOs) was considered one of the best fighters in boxing, but nowadays wins for him have become a rare thing. The hand speed and power advantage that Pacquiao is going to enjoy in this fight is going to make it hard for Broner to win this fight.

Dereck Chisora says he’s going to make sure he doesn’t find himself on the receiving end of another controversial decision in his rematch against Dillian Whyte (24-1, 17 KOs) by knocking him out this Saturday night on December 22 at the O2 Arena in London, England. Chisora (29-8, 21 KOs) lost a controversial 12 round split decision to Whyte two years ago in December 2016 in London in a fight that the boxing world saw Dereck winning.

Anthony Joshua is saying once again that he’ll give Deontay Wilder a flat fee to face him on April 13 in a heavyweight unification fight at Wembley Stadium in London, England. Joshua says he’s willing to give WBC heavyweight champion Wilder (40-0-1, 39 KOs) a guarantee of twice his highest pure with incentives if he faces him next April. Joshua (22-0, 21 KOs) says states that he’s going to get his hands on Wilder’s World Boxing Council title one way or another. Just how he’s going to do that without Wilder losing to someone else is the big question.

(Dec. 14, 2018) — After heavyweight sensation Daniel Dubois pulled out of Saturday’s main event with the flu, top welterweight contender Bradley Skeete was elevated to main event status.

Skeete will take on southpaw Diego Ramirez in a 10-rounder for the vacant WBO International title Saturday from the Brentwood Centre in Brentwood, England.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (Dec. 14, 2018) — Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez hoped for repeat. Jesse "Hollywood" Hart sought revenge.

In a rematch of their September 2017 bout, Ramirez once again emerged victorious, notching a majority decision (114-114, 115-113 2X) to retain his WBO super middleweight world title for the fifth time.

"I won every round. I beat him clearly again," Ramirez said. "I hurt my elbow in the eighth round, but if I didn't hurt my elbow, I would've knocked him out. I am going to 175. I am ready to challenge Gvozdyk."

Canelo felt good and looked great in destroying Fielding in a four-knockdown performance on DAZN. The ratings are likely going to be through the roof for the streaming giant, as Canelo’s fight with Fielding was free.
