Undefeated in their first two games in the brand-new season of the country’s longest-standing collegiate league, the Pirates (2-0) jostle with season hosts Stags in the 4 p.m. match set at the FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan City.

HAD themselves buried by a dagger winning three-pointer in their National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Season 93 debut last week, the Letran Knights are out to bounce back when they return to the floor today against the Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) Generals.

Set for 12 noon at the FilOil Flying V Center in San Juan City, Letran versus EAC opens things for seniors play in the scheduled triple-header that will also see the defending champions San Beda Red Lions take on the College of St. Benilde Blazers at 2 p.m. and the Arellano Chiefs face off with the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers at 4 p.m.

IN two days’ time Season 93 of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) officially rolls out with San Beda College expressing readiness to defend its men’s basketball title albeit recognizing that it is up against souped-up competition.

Handled anew by comebacking NCAA coach Boyet Fernandez, the Mendiola-based Red Lions are looking to claim back-to-back titles this season and 21st overall to further solidify their hold as the most successful team in NCAA seniors basketball.
