Isang taon ang nakalipas, pumitik si Kawhi Leonard ng unang  buzzer-beating, game-winning Game 7 shot sa kasaysayan ng NBA, na nag-alsa sa Toronto sa pagsapaw sa Philadelphia at sa East finals — daan sa pagkopo ng titulo. 

Umaasa ang Clippers na maulit ang sarili nilang kasaysayan, simula  Martes. 

 

“Oh, he’s unshakable,” ani Clippers coach Doc Rivers. “Kawhi, you can’t guarantee he’ll play well or not because he’s human and all players are. But you know the moment won’t be too big. That’s the one thing — with him, you just know that. So, that’s comforting to know that.”

 

Ang mga duda ang gumagatong pa rin sa kanila ngayon - sa kabila nang isang panalo buhat sa  Western Conference finals. Ang Game 7 ang naghihintay sa Nuggets at Los Angeles Clippers Sabado ng gabi, na ang magwawagi ay didiretso sa  West title series laban sa Los Angeles Lakers.  

 

  “Everybody can’t wait for the L.A. Western Conference finals,” wika ni Nuggets coach Michael Malone, Lunes. 

 

“But there’s a little city in Colorado called Denver, and we’re trying to do our part to make some noise and kind of further cement our position in the Western Conference and NBA hierarchy because we feel we belong there.”    (LP)
