Rondo finally finds a home in New Orleans.

Rajon Rondo has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, according to the Vertical’s Shams Charania. The financial terms of the deal have not yet been reported.

Rondo had taken a backseat as point guard free agency mostly sorted itself out, and the Pelicans and Lakers were the only teams who reportedly had serious conversations with the veteran.

LAS VEGAS — Ryan McDonough grew up in Hingham, Mass., just a half-hour outside of Boston. He went to Celtics games as a child and spent 10 years working in the franchise’s front office.

But McDonough can only count on one hand the number of times he’s heard the Boston crowd cheer an opposing player the way it did when Devin Booker scored 70 points in late March.

Sacramento will receive a second round pick and cash considerations for allowing Perry to leave.

The Knicks and the Kings have reached a deal to send Sacramento vice president Scott Perry to New York, where he will become the team’s new general manager, according to USA Today’s Sam Amick. The deal was first reported on Thursday by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
