END OF THE ROAD

Winners of seven in a row, the Warriors will look to keep that winning streak intact as they close out their four-game road trip in Indiana on Monday. This will mark the first of this season’s two head-to-head matchups between the Dubs and Pacers, and the Warriors swept last year’s season series, both of which were high-scoring affairs. Monday’s matchup will tip off at 4 p.m., and the game can be seen on CSN Bay Area or listen to Tim Roye with the call on KBLX 102.9 FM or on the Warriors Radio Network.

The Knicks smacked around the Hawks on a Sunday afternoon.

How right you were, Mr. Millsap: The New York Knicks came into their clash with the Atlanta Hawks ranked 29th in the NBA in defensive rating. That team, however, was nowhere to be found on Sunday afternoon. The ‘Bockers played smart; they played tough. They gritted and scrapped and got under the skin of the No. 2 team in the Eastern Conference. And they won, 104-94.

NEW YORK -- (UPDATED) Indiana's Jeff Teague scored 30 points, eight of them in over-time, to lead six double-figure scorers who powered the Pacers over Oklahoma City 115-111 in an NBA game Sunday.

Russell Westbrook, who had game highs of 31 points, 15 assists and 11 rebounds in a losing cause, sank a 3-pointer with two seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to pull the Thunder level at 103-103 and send the game into over-time.

The Bucks gave it their all, but Draymond Green’s steal inside 20 seconds seals the win

Pre-Game

Kerr not resting any of his roster on the back to back, even with the 3 in 5 days coming up. Would say this is a let-down game if we officially called the Bucks a bad team, but are they bad? With the Greek Freak, Jabari Parker and others, they have the tools to be really good, just haven't gotten there yet. Hot crowd for the road show that is the Warriors. No "24-1" shirts in the crowd, not even "10-3" shirts made up for this matchup.

So much energy had been exerted by the Clippers on Friday night in Sacramento that they were forced to summon whatever they had in reserve for a back-to-back game Saturday night.

It was going to require a supreme effort by the Clippers after they got down by 19 points in the second quarter, and it was an effort they put forth to pull out a 102-95 win over the Chicago Bulls at Staples Center.

Marreese Speights was the main reserve who triggered the Clippers’ returned effort with 11 of his season-high 16 points in the fourth quarter.

WASHINGTON — The Heat was little match for the likes of San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Toronto and Atlanta — NBA heavy hitters who factored into Miami’s six-game losing streak.

Perhaps the sailing won’t be quite so rough for Miami in the lower ranks.

The Heat opened a four-game trip on Saturday night with a closer-than-it-looked 114-111 victory over the Washington Wizards, giving it back-to-back wins for the first time this season.

As  he walked away from the postgame media scrum on Friday, guard Jordan Clarkson was reminded that, after playing the San Antonio Spurs, the difficult stretch of the Lakers’ schedule would continue.

The Lakers will play the Chicago Bulls, who are 8-4 and have won their last four games, on Sunday evening. They’ll play the Oklahoma City Thunder, their first repeat opponent of the season, on Tuesday. The first time they met, Russell Westbrook had a triple-double. They’ll travel on Wednesday to face the Golden State Warriors (10-2), whom the Lakers already upset but are a no less formidable opponent. And they’ll host the Warriors again on Friday.

Perimeter shooting wasn’t Wiggins’ strength at lower levels, but it’s become one for him in the NBA.

With a 63-33 third-quarter lead against the Philadelphia 76ers on Nov. 18, Minnesota Timberwolves small forward Andrew Wiggins ran up the court, received a pass from point guard Ricky Rubio, and drained a three-point shot. He finished the game with 35 points.

We knew Wiggins could score, but that three-point shot is becoming a more common way by which he does it. Even though the T-Wolves are 4-7, Wiggins has been shouldering most of the scoring load with ease, thanks in large part to expanding his game.

Westbrook also touched on unifying the community during his speech.

Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook was inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame late Thursday night with a ringing endorsement from NBA’s unanimous “GOAT,” Michael Jordan. In his comments, MJ praised the Thunder’s MVP candidate for his loyalty to the organization that drafted him.

"Another thing you guys should be proud of is the sense of loyalty this kid has shown," said Jordan, who owns a majority stake in the Hornets. “He could've easily come to Charlotte. But he decided to stay here in Oklahoma.”

Be afraid of the Clippers, who are dominating early on. We think the bubble will soon burst on their crosstown rivals, though

The Clippers became the first team to 10 wins this week, getting there in 11 tries on the back of a seven-game winning streak. This is unfamiliar territory for the Clips. Their best start in the Chris Paul era was 8-3 back in 2012-13. L.A. has been very good for five years, but that hasn’t usually translated in the Clippers storming the gates. They usually make up ground on the back end of the season.
