While San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich made it rather clear how unhappy he was with the play that forced Kawhi Leonard to miss much of Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals, the NBA reportedly has a much different view of everything that went down on Sunday afternoon.

According to a report from Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today Sports, Zaza Pachulia's foul on Leonard will not be upgraded to a flagrant foul despite the fact that Popovich publicly lambasted the Warriors' starting center on Monday morning.

Even though this, obviously, will not make Popovich happy, the 2016 NBA playoffs showed us that the league office is hesitant to step in and issue a suspension of any kind unless the actions that are taken absolutely merit the additional punishment being handed down.

With no Kawhi for Game 2, we'll just have to wait and see whether or not Popovich's rant will help his team at all in terms of receiving calls from the referees working the matchup as, at least for now, his comments didn't make much of an impact on the league itself.
