This was definitely an accident, but it cost him.

The NBA vowed to crack down on hits to the nuts after Draymond Green grew an infamous rep for doing so last season, particularly for striking the crotch of Oklahoma City Thunder center Steven Adams.

Now Adams’ teammate, Russell Westbrook, was given a technical foul for a similar motion after unintentionally kicking Detroit Pistons guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope while shooting.

It’s a frustrating call and Westbrook wasn’t so happy.
