La Salle blew an 18-pt lead but held on to repulse tough UE 84-78 in the UAAP at the MOA Arena yesterday .

Archers coach Aldin Ayo is shown in top right watching Thomas Torres forced into a turnover with refs not blowing the whistle on this blatant foul , seconds later, Aldin rushed at a referee offering a pair of glasses and was ejected in the 2nd quarter--Aldin has been suspended for Sunday's game against Ateneo, In 2015, Ayo was suspended by the NCAA for "conduct unbecoming and disrespect of the game" after throwing a chair leading to the dugout in a game against Lyceum.

Coach Ayo's action was idiotic and at its best insulting to the referees, said a Fan.

La Salle will appeal the suspension and is awaiting the UAAP commissioner's memo affirming the suspension and explaining its basis ... (below from left) Archers who performed beyond the call of duty against UE to keep La Salle unbeaten this season are Justin Baltazar with 14 pts 9 rebs 2 blks, Andrei Caracut with 9 pts all in the 4th period and Prince Rivero with 11 pts (including 9 of 10 free throws) in 10 minutes .

Ben Mbala also had 19 pts 17 rebs 3 assts ... UE's rugged and physical defense forced La Salle into 36 turnovers but Archers refused to lose and got the job done with defense and rebounding #DLSUGreenArchers #UAAPBasketball
