THOUGHTS ON THE GAME
First of all, team effort. The coaches did their part. The players did their part, even the bench players did their part. If you noticed, some players that clocked in, didn't clock in minutes before. Lorenzana. It means it is a team play. We don't expect, besides Alex [Diakhite] and Rey [Suerte], we don't expect anyone to step up. You can't predict. Whatever the coach decides, whatever the coach has in place, they're going to play really hard. They struggled in the first quarter, then adjusting to the second and third. So I think, as a whole, the players did wonderfully, especially Alex, who was carrying the players. As a whole, it's a good win for us.
ON UE FINALLY BUILDING MOMENTUM
I think that the players are finally starting to adjust. You can't really blame the players kasi the last few seasons, they were accustomed to losing. They played a good game but in the final few seconds, they would miss. So, with the new players who are with the team, our rookies. I think second round, I think it will be good for us. As what I have said, fourth to seventh place are really close. We have a chance to make it to the Final Four. So we're trying to do that.
WHAT DO WE EXPECT FOR THE TEAM TO MAKE IT TO THE FINAL FOUR?
Win all six. Try to win all six [games]. But if the top two teams secure their spots but beat everyone else, we will have a chance for the Final Four.
ON COACHING ROLES
Just to add that no, if you know, wala naman kaming dictatorship sa team. Bida si coach, si coach, si big man's coach. Anyone can be coach. Sa games naman, nag-eenjoy ako sa likod, so di ako masyadong tumatayo. Atsaka mas guwapo si Lawrence, so siya na lang ang nasa harap.
REY SUERTE
Yun nga, sabi ni coach na may nakasulat sa board. Two games lang pala lamang ng other teams sa amin para magkaroon ng slot sa top four. Yun nga, tulong-tulong kami, first to third, fourth, medyo humabol sila pero sabi namin, walang nag-give up. Nag-step up lahat ng hinugot ni coach Lawrence, like Jojo Antiporda and Lorenzana. Chris Conner din, big factor talaga sa amin.
ANO NAGING MINDSET MO AFTER FIRST THREE GAMES?
Yun nga, sa basketball, adjustment talaga ang laro eh. Last three games namin, medyo tough sa akin kasi malalakas yung nakalaban namin last three games eh. Stick to the plan, stick to the game and focus lang lagi. Atsaka we need to step up talaga every game.

ON COACHING ROLES
Partnership namin to ni Boss Bong Tan. Alam naman sa media yan, lalo na sa sports. Almost two decades na kami magkasama. Sa PBA dati, may mga players namin na nagsipag-retiro na nga. Pero yung passion namin for basketball, di nagwi-wither. Yung love niya for basketball, yung passion niya, for the UE Red Warriors. Yung involvement namin sa basketball, di naman nawala yan eh. Yung dalawang players, alam naman natin ang nangyari. We don't have to discuss about it. Sa tagal ng panahon, tested na rin through time.
