DILIMAN College continues to fill its needs in all major positions and strengthen its line-up in time for the opening of the PBA D League on Feb. 14 at the Ynares Center.

To be handled by multi-titled coach Rensy Bajar and manager former Sen. Nikki Coseteng, the Gerry’s Grill-backed Blue Dragons will make their debut in the 12-team developmental tournament serving as a stepping ground to the PBA.

“We’re doing everything to make the team as competitive as possible,” said Bajar, also the first assistant coach of NorthPort mentor Pido Jarencio.

“Since announcing our entry to the PBA D League last month, we have scouted for additional new players to fill the team’s needs and continued our regular training and practice,” added Bajar, who is making immediate impact in the team’s initial foray in the league.

Bajar is also focusing on the team’s newest additions -- Jun Manzo and Noah Webb of University of the Philippines and Jeramer Cabanag and Jun Bonsubre of San Beda University.

“I expect to four new additions to blend well with our school-based players. Sina Manzo at Webb, parehong galinh sa UP. Sana madala nila sa team yun experience nila na maglaro sa championship ng UAAP,” explained Bajar.

Also with the team are Kevine Gandjeto, Joseph Brutas, John Mahari, Robbie Darang, Aevin Van Coquia, Johnnel Bauzon, Aldrin Ligon, Earl Salazar, Mikko Tay. and Roxar Melendez.

Bajar said the support of Sen. Coseteng and managers Jerome Ngo and Wilson Sia of Gerry’s Grill provides the inspiration for the players to work harder everyday.

“We do not want to disappoint,” he said.
