Hidden Eagle rally past everyone to nab 5th PPP Cup

    by Mike Romero
Hidden Eagle found the necessary second wind to snatch the 5th Press Photographers of the Philippines Cup last Sunday at the Santa Ana track in Naic, Cavite.

Bucking a slow start at the gates in the 1300m long run, the horse ran by JA Guce got the opening from the outside down the stretch to get the win in the second of the five race schedule which was highlighted by the second leg of the Philippine Triple Crown series.

Coming in second was Speak Easy of JT Zarate who got into the wild finish with Hidden Eagle.

Early leader Lollipop of jockey MA Alvarez wound up in fourth after he was eclipsed by Oasis by MB Pilapil who finished third.

The race raised funds for the PPP's chosen charities, with the help of the Philippine Racing Commission who operates the track inside the Saddle and Club estate.
