Tiwala ang Philippine Triathlon Team na mamentina ang Southeast Asian Games crown para sa ikatlong sunod na edisyon.

Ang SEA Games-bound Philippine National Triathletes ay nasa tamang landas ng kanilang paghahanda sa SEAG batay sa impresibong  resulta sa 2019 ASTC Acaba Triathlon Asian Cup sa Acaba, Jordan nung Biyernes.

Pumanglima si 2017 SEA Games gold medalist Kim Mangrobang sa naitalang  2 hours, 7 minutes, at 25 seconds, pampito si Filipino-American Kim Kilgroe sa tiyempong 2 oras, 10 minutes,  at 20 seconds habang si 2015 SEA Games champion Ma. Clare Adorna ay 10th, clocking 2 hours, 24 minutes, at 48 seconds, lahat sa elite women’s category.

Nagtapos sina John Chicano at Edward Macalala na pang-27th at 29th positions sa men's category.

Si Mark Hosana at Andrew Kim Remolino ay eliminated matapos bigong tapusin ang karera.

Paniwala ni Coach Melvin Fausto na kayang dominahin ng Pilipinas ang lahat ng 6  events sa papalapit na 30th SEA Games na kanilang nagawa sa 2015 at 2017 SEA Games sa kortesiya ni Nikko Huelgas.  

Kumpiyansa din si Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman William “Butch” Ramirez na ang mga Filipino triathlete ay gagawin ang maigting na kompetisyon sa iba pang participating countries.

“Our athletes, through the proper management of their coaches and the national sports associations, have remained deep in focus as they aim for medal victories in the Sea Games, They are also aware that the 2020 Tokyo Olympics are just around. The SEA Games will be a takeoff point for some of them. Let us support their bids and pray for their victory,” sabi ni Ramirez.

Sina John Chicano at Andrew Kim Remolino ang pambato ng bansa sa men's Triathlon individual competition habang si defending champion Kim Mangrobang at Kim Kilgroe ang sasabak sa women's individual gold sa event.

Larga sina Emmanuel Kimpan Comendador at Jarwyn Banatao sa men's duathlon habang si Jelsie Sabado at Monica Torres ang entry ng bansa sa distaff side.

Ang Philippine mixed triathlon team ay kinatampukan nina  Chicano, Mangrobang, Kilgroe, Ma. Claire Adorna at Filipino-Spanish Fer Caseres.

Ang Duathlon mixed team ay kinapalooban nina Emmanuel Commendador, Joey Delos Reyes, Monica Torres at Mary Pauline Fornea.

Si Efraim Hamadon Iñigo ay ang team's reserve player sa mixed duathlon event.
