As the outbreak of COVID-19, commonly known as coronavirus, continues to sweep the globe, many states and cities are implementing aggressive social distancing regulations and encouraging people to self-isolate as much as possible to help slow the rapid spread of the illness.

The new rules and regulations have been met with varying degrees of cooperation from the public, and many celebs are using their down time to encourage their fans, followers and friends to start taking this whole thing more seriously, and to help the most vulnerable in our society whenever possible.

McConaughey also said he hopes the positive ways in which the world is currently uniting will be reflected in the post-coronavirus world.

"In these crazy times that we’re in with coronavirus, let's take care of ourselves and each other,” he said. “Let’s not go to the lowest common denominator and get paranoid. Let’s do our due diligence and take the precautions we need to take care of ourselves and those of us around us. Right now, more than ever before, we’re all more dependent on each other than we ever been, but we have an enemy in coronavirus that is faceless, sexless, non-denominational and bi-partisan and it’s an enemy we all agree we want to beat. And we’re gonna beat him.”

McConaughey also said he hopes the positive ways in which the world is currently uniting will be reflected in the post corona-virus world.

“There is a green light on the other side of this red light that we’re in right now and I believe that green light is going to be built upon the values that we can enact right now," he explained. "Values of fairness, kindness, accountability, resilience, respect, courage."

"If we practice those things we right now [and] we get out of this, this virus might be the one time that brings us all together and unifies us like we have not been in a long time," the 50-year-old actor continued. "So let’s see if we can make some lemonade out of this lemon that we’re in the middle off -- turn a red light into a green light. Just keep living.”

Justin Bieber also reminded people about the power of society coming together to support one another, even if that means implementing social distancing practices.

"Obviously this is a really scary time," he wrote alongside a video of people doing good deeds around the world. "I wanted to remind everyone what we can do when we come together!! LETS COME TOGETHER BY ISOLATING OURSELVES UNTIL WE HAVE MORE ANSWERS! Our grandparents are counting on us."

Kylie Jenner also tweeted: "i hope everyone is feeling well! it’s so important right now to self quarantine to ensure we aren’t endangering ourselves or anyone who can’t handle this virus."
