Big things start to come Janah Zaplan’s way after the release of her first English single, “More Than That,” written and produced by award-winning record producer Paulo Zarate.
“I want an English song this time so that I can reach out to other territories and hopefully they can enjoy my music, too,” said Janah.
On July 6, Janah serenaded and inspired her audience at the launch of the single and music video at the Farmers Plaza, Araneta Center in Quezon City. She could not believe that the venue was full to the rafters
In an interview, Janah said that her new single is her gift to her fans, as she celebrated her birthday the following day. The music video had its official launch on July 18 in all digital platforms.
The 17-year-old rising star of OPM is grateful for the support of her family and friends and for all the blessings she received as a new artist. For 2018, she released not just one, but two singles, “Di Ko Na Kaya” and “Mahal Na Kita”distributed digitally by Ivory Music through online platforms such as iTunes, Spotify and AmazonMP3. The music videos for both songs debuted on YouTube as well.
Janah has also emerged as a serious artist on the local music scene. She performed in the 1st Catwalk Philippines’ Finals, Aliw Awards night, and as a Featured New Artist in Wish 107.5 Bus at SM by the Bay, with the lead band Aegis.
An Aliw Awardee as Best New Female Artist 2018 and PMPC Star Awards for Music 2018 Nominee as New Female Recording Artist of the Year, Janah headlined her first major concert at the Music Museum. She has also performed on stage alongside some of today’s popular young artists such as Ylona Garcia, Sharlene San Pedro, AC Bonifacio, Ms. Dulce, Jeremiah, Side A, boy band Upgrade and more.
With a new single and music video, Janah has come a long way since she joined and became part of Eat Bulaga Music Hero The Vocal Battle.
Now available on digital format worldwide, “More Than That” is expected to catapult Janah Zaplan into greater heights.
