As Miranda Lambert was making history on Sunday night at the Academy of Country Music Awards, she took a minute to honor her fans.

The 34-year-old singer took to the stage to accept the Song of the Year award for “Tin Man” when she declared, “Thank you guys so much for sharing my broken heart with me.”

The sentiment is similar to Lambert’s Album of the Year acceptance speech in 2017, in which she said, “I just want to say thank you for letting me use my heartbreak and sharing that with me.”

“Tin Man” is an emotional ballad about wishing one doesn’t have a heart so it can’t be broken. Lambert made the statement less than a month after news broke that she had split from her boyfriend of two years, Anderson East.

The couple had been dating since 2015, following Lambert’s split from her ex-husband, Blake Shelton, earlier that year. Shelton attended the ACMs with his girlfriend, Gwen Stefani, by his side.

The exes were careful not to cross paths, and Shelton and Stefani were spotted cuddling in the audience earlier in the show.

Lambert also won the award for Female Vocalist of the Year, giving her the all-time winning record for any artist ever at the ACMs with 32 wins total.

“I really can’t believe it,” Lambert told reporters backstage. “I just always try to live in the moment I’m in and then make myself better and try to be better. I try to reinvent and try to be a better writer and a better singer and a better performer and better person all around, I guess, so I don’t dwell on the past.”
