MANILA -- Richard Gutierrez will be taking a break after his work on the ABS-CBN hit fantasy series "La Luna Sangre" wraps up.

At a press conference for the last three weeks of "La Luna Sangre" on Tuesday, Gutierrez said he will be spending quality time with son Zion and fiancee Sarah Lahbati, who is set to give birth to their second child next month.

"Magpapahinga po muna ako sana," Gutierrez said. "It's a good timing na I will get to spend time with my newborn with Sarah."

Gutierrez also announced that he is set to shoot a movie for Star Cinema.

"Finally matutuloy na. Pinapatapos lang 'yung 'La Luna.' Then I will ask for a little bit of time off just to rejuvenate and spend time with family. Then after that, we are going to start the new movie na. Para fresh lang 'yung approach sa movie," the actor said.

Gutierrez, who moved to ABS-CBN last year, admitted that "La Luna Sangre" will be a tough act to follow.

"It's my first time to play a dark character. It's my first time in ABS-CBN. It's my first time to work with my co-actors, with my directors. So ang daming firsts, ang daming bagong experiences that I'm just very thankful for. So it's really a tough act to follow," Gutierrez said.

In the primetime hit, Gutierrez plays the role of Sandrino/ Supremo, the king of vampires.
