Days after getting stung by a jellyfish while on vacation with pals in Ibiza, the 30-year-old actress has been diagnosed with tonsillitis, and forced to cancel several DJ gigs.

Rose, still in Spain, first announced her condition -- and subsequent cancellation of shows -- on Instagram on Friday.

"Tonsilitis and unable to fly because of the pain it's causing my ears," she stated. "means no more shows and I have to stay put before returning home :( sorry guys. I didn’t even know you could get tonsillitis after like, 16."

The actress later defended herself on Twitter after fans called her excuse into question.

"It's upsetting to see people questioning me getting tonsillitis .. And cancelling 2 of 15 shows in a month.. Off the back of filming a movie," she wrote.

"But I don't party, I've not been to one club except when playing here and I've had a 3 day vacation with childhood friends I flew out.." she added.

".. Where we slept, watched movies and went to the beach. I dont drink as everyone knows, I'm run down and got tonsillitis its that simple," the Orange is the New Black star said.

Rose continued to defend her decision to cancel the tour dates, referencing all the hard work she's put into recent projects. "Lastly, I trained hard for 3 films and continue to train hard, more than ever in my life.. I'm fit (well before I got sick ). That's all," she tweeted.

"I don't care what 'people think' but I wanted to clear it up for the fans. However you should know me by now," she concluded. "Off socials again while I rest."

Rose has definitely been hard at work the past few months.

Just last December, following her breakup from fiancée Phoebe Dahl, the former model hit the gym hard for new role in John Wick 2.
