What made Zsa Zsa return to Conrad

The Zsa Zsa Padilla and Conrad Onglao wedding is on.

A year after they reconciled, the singer-actress is definitely tying the knot with the prominent architect. When the wedding will take place remains a question though.

The Zsa Zsa Padilla and Conrad Onglao wedding is on.

A year after they reconciled, the singer-actress is definitely tying the knot with the prominent architect. When the wedding will take place remains a question though.

Zsa Zsa, who plays a martyr wife in Cineko Films’ “Bes and the Beshies,” to be released by Regal Entertainment on October 18, admitted she was focused on their life together, more than a ceremony.

“Magtatanan na lang kami,” she quipped.

It’s Conrad who is more eager for them to tie the knot.

“I don’t know if it’s an age thing for me or not, kasi katabi ko si Ai Ai (her co-star) kanina and she’s planning her dream wedding, [pero] wala na kasi ‘yun sa akin. Kung si Conrad tatanungin, gusto nya,” she said.

“Sabi ko pagbigyan mo na lang ako, gusto ko tahimik. Sabi ko, for me, it’s more of the solemnity and us just being legally husband and wife.”

Padilla said the six-month period she and fiancé Conrad Onglao were on a break last year was a time of realizations. She had to learn to let go of the past – a thing she really found difficult – and also to recognize that Conrad and the late comedy great Dolphy, her partner of 23 years, are different.

“I had to remember that ibang tao si Conrad, iba kay Dolphy, so iba ‘yung ugali. Lalo na na realize ko palagi pala akong nasusunod, [na] spoiled ako, [but] it cannot be that way anymore because [Conrad’s] a different person,” she admitted.

“At pinaka importante pa na kinailangan kong matutunan was to forgive and forget,” she also said.

In order for her to be okay, she had to undergo “healing therapy” for eight to ten months, she shared.

What really made her return to Conrad, who wooed her earnestly during their separation, was not one thing that he did.

“I realized when I saw him I still loved him,” she revealed, “And when we were talking and we made the commitment to make some changes.”
