She may be a mere muggle, but Kelly Clarkson didn’t let that stop her from having a spectacular, magic-filled 35th birthday!
The songstress hit Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, for a fun-filled Harry Potter-themed birthday outing on Monday.
On Friday, the American Idol star was surprised by friends, who made her decipher a clue spelled out with Scrabble letters, which revealed she was heading on a girls’ trip with her pals, mom and sister. It looks like the group ended up in Florida, with Clarkson’s 1-year-old son, Remington, and 2-year-old daughter, River Rose, along for the fun.
Beaming with excitement, the “Piece by Piece” singer posed for a cute selfie with Remington during their theme park adventure.
“Thank you @universalorlando for the most magical birthday!!!,” she wrote. “It was the greatest surprise to have my entire group adorned in Harry Potter gear!!! ?????? #35#stillgotit #greatestfamilyandfriends#hashtag ?.”
While it’s unclear how much Butterbeer the singer downed on her big day, she did indulge in an incredible cake, which was perfectly on theme.

Clarkson isn’t the only one with a family birthday this month. Remington recently celebrated his first birthday, complete with his own crown and bow-tie.
