Spiral pole dancer Kristel De Catalina is the new addition to Pilipinas Got Talent’s golden buzzer act this Sunday.
This 32-year old single mom fascinated the audiences and the four PGT judges with her unique and classically graceful dance.
De Catalina received a standing ovation from the judges after performing an aerial dance performance using a spiral pole. After deliberation, Vice Ganda hit the golden buzzer for the act which means she will advance automatically to the semi-finals.
In her AVP, De Catalina shared her heartwarming experience as a single mom to a six-year old son. She got pregnant at the height of her dancing career and had to make a very important decision. For a while she stopped what she loved doing, which is dancing, she said.
Despite the difficult decision she made, De Catalina said that her son Troy is her happiness and her source of strength. De Catalina dedicated this PGT audition to her son.
During De Catalina’s performance judge Robin Padilla already described it as “perfect”. “Hanep ‘yung pinakita mong professional ang galaw. Lahat perpekto. Hindi kita nakitang nahirapan ka.”
Angel Locsin said “Yung mahirap na bagay, pinagmukha mong napakadali. Napaka-graceful, at gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa’yo for sharing your talent sa amin.” FMG’s message was short and simple. “You got it” he said.
Last to comment was Vice Ganda. Vice Ganda said “You are a very powerful performer. In fact, sa sobrang ganda ng performance mo, you were able to heal me. Hindi lang siya sayaw para sa akin, punong puno siya ng symbols.”
And without second thoughts, Vice pressed the golden buzzer which is De Catalina’s ticket to the semi-finals.
