Metro Manila - It's no secret that Robin Padilla prefers performers who showcase Filipino culture as they grace the "Pilipinas Got Talent" audition stage. So it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone that he pressed his golden buzzer on February 3 for a dance group, whose inspiration for its routine come mainly from different folk dances across the country.

"Kayo ang kasagutan sa mga dasal ko. Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng mga Pilipinong mahal ang kultura nila," the action star told Nocturnal Dance Group, as he smashed his golden buzzer for them. “Magkita kita tayo sa semi-finals,” he added.

The Quezon City-based group performed a highly precise routine while wearing matching barong tagalog and salakot.

Just as stunned was comedian Vice Ganda, who praised them for their coordination. "Unang step nyo pa lang kuha nyo na kami. Hindi naman kailangan magpakamatay para maaliw kami," he said. "Basta sabay-sabay mula simula hanggang huli. What you did was very talented, creative and very Filipino."

Angel Locsin on the other hand said “binigyan nyo ng bagong rekado, bagong kulay at angas ang kulturang Pilipino.” Robin and Billy got goosebumps while FMG and Toni both quipped “magaling.”

Earning the golden buzzer means that the Nocturnal Dance Group is assured of a place in the semi-finals of the talent contest. They are the third acts who got a golden buzzer. The other acts who got the coveted golden buzzer are dance duo Julius Obrero and Rhea Marquez, and Bardilleranz, a group of pull-up bar acrobats.

The sixth season of Pilipinas Got Talent is talent reality competition that currently airs on ABS-CBN, Saturdays at 7:00 p.m. and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. local time.
