Erie police are investigating the deaths of a man, woman and child found at a residence in the Boulder County side of the town on Saturday morning.

Officers with the department responded to a report of a possible dead person at 1973 Gordon Court shortly before 11:30 a.m. and found the three bodies, according to a news release.

Police said they are not looking for a suspect have no reason to believe that any danger to the public exists. Officers have not released information on how the people died, or if foul play is suspected.

Police chief Kim Stewart said Saturday afternoon that police were conducting a "death investigation" and had obtained a warrant to search the residence about 4 p.m.

Police strung crime scene tape across the front and back of the two-story residence that sits at the end of a cul-de-sac.

Late in the afternoon, investigators closed the garage door, which had been open most of the afternoon. One car was parked in the garage, and a second vehicle remained parked in the driveway inside the crime-scene tape. Police could be seen coming and going from the area throughout the day.

The identities of the deceased were not released as of Saturday evening, but Boulder County property records indicate that the home is owned by John P. and Stacey Farrar.

A neighbor who declined to provide her name described the man and woman who lived at the residence as being nice people who she socialized with on occasion. She said the couple appeared to be in their 40s and the child who lived at the residence was a young boy. The neighbor believed the man had recently had health problems.

Other neighbors said the couple seemed to keep to themselves and didn't interact frequently with the other people on Gordon Court aside from the occasional wave or quick comment.

The case remains under investigation.
