A truck has driven into a crowd of people and through a luxury department store window on Drottninggatan (Queen Street), Stockholm, one of the city’s main pedestrian areas. So far, four people have been reported dead with 15 injured, nine of them seriously.
The truck apparently belonged to Swedish beer-maker Spendrups, which was carjacked earlier in the day. One person has been arrested in connection with the attack. Parliament and the Stockholm subway are on lockdown, as Prime Minster Lofven says everything points to a terrorist attack.
