President Rodrigo Duterte appointed former Pangasinan congresswoman Ma. Rachel Arenas as the new chairwoman of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). Cong Arenas is the daughter of philanthropist Rose Marie “Baby” Arenas.
Arenas’ appointment papers were signed last January 20 and released by Malacañang on Monday.
She replaced Eugenio Villareal and would serve a term that will expire on Sept. 30, 2017.
