WARNING: Potentially MAJOR SPOILERS ahead for Thor: Ragnarok!

While Stan Lee is the undisputed cameo king of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the franchise has recruited a number of actors over the years to make quick appearances. For instance, the late and great Harry Dean Stanton popped up in The Avengers as a security guard who witnessed The Hulk crashing from the sky and transforming back into Bruce Banner. Well, Thor: Ragnarok is next up on the MCU slate, and if a new rumor is to be believed, then moviegoers will be treated to Matt Damon gracing the screen as an Asgardian performer.

With Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2 pushing forward with a November 2018 release date, it was only a matter of time before we were given the scoop on some new characters in the Wizarding World. And sure enough, we've gotten details on the first new villain in the sequel to last year's magical hit. As Grindelwald rises he'll need some new help in his evil empire, which includes his new henchman, Krall.

Darren Aronofsky's mother! has only been in theaters for three days, but the response has been interesting and significant. It got a modestly positive critical reaction following festival premieres, and didn't exactly light up the box office in its first weekend, but it seems that the majority of those who have seen it have really hated it. You might think that this "backlash" would hurt the feelings of the man responsible for the movie's reaction, but it seems that Aronofsky is taking it in stride.

A bespoke British spy with a license to kill. His techy right-hand man, known only by his code name. All the amusingly absurd gizmos and gadgets. A beautiful femme with an inclination toward evil. It sounds familiar, yet there's been so much ado about whether there will be another James Bond movie -- and if Daniel Craig will be back for it -- that people seem to have forgotten there's another agent who ticks all those boxes and does have a movie out now: Eggsy (Taron Egerton).

"What's happening?" Jennifer Lawrence’s unnamed character asks at one point during the final stretch of mother! It's a good question. Director Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan and Requiem for a Dream) has kept his latest project shrouded in complete secrecy -- or as much secrecy is possible, considering it is a studio film starring one of the most famous and talk show-friendly actresses in Hollywood.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter. I could tell you scene-by-scene exactly what happens in mother! and you would not be spoiled. Because I saw the movie, and I don’t know exactly what happened. And though mother! is now in theaters, I will do my best to go light on major spoilers.

2014’s Kingsman: The Secret Service has a fairly succinct premise: an ultra-violent, laddish James Bond crossed with My Fair Lady, from Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn. Based on a graphic novel by artist Dave Gibbons and writer Mark Millar (who also wrote Kick-Ass), the film paired a veteran secret agent with ne’er-do-well youth Gary “Eggsy” Unwin (Testament of Youth’s Taron Egerton), who has to confront both a flamboyant supervillain and upper-crust British society. In the first Kingsman, limbs are severed, spy tropes are methodically subverted, and Eggsy comes away with a sharp suit and a lesson about transcending social class.
