Pacquiao’s special mouthpiece

LAS VEGAS via YSA -  Atop the boxing ring of the Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas on November 5, Manny Pacquiao will again represent his beloved country, the Philippines, where he is an elected senator.

From his Pinoy heart and mind, boxing gear, down to his mouthguard, Pacquiao shows off his being a Filipino. He will be sporting a red, white, and blue mouthguard with the seal of the Philippine Senate in the middle.

The mouthguard of the Fighting Senator of the Philippines was created by none other than mouthguard maker to the stars, Doctor Ed de la Vega, DDS,  a well-known dentist in Los Angeles and Manny’s official photographer since 2008.

“We created a design for Manny with the help of artist Jun Aquino,” says de la Vega.

“Many fighters opt to put their names or their monickers on their mouthguards, but of course, the eight-division world champ doesn’t need to do this because everyone knows who he is. A simple design with a logo, that’s all he needs,” adds the dentist.

De la Vega will arrive before the weigh-in to fit the mouthpiece to the People’s Champ.
