LAS VEGAS, NEVADA via YSA– Fans were surprised to witness the grand arrival of the only eight-division world champion and reigning Fighter of the Decade Manny Pacquiao and World Boxing Organization Welterweight Champion Jessie Vargas at the WYNN Hotel.

Days before the highly anticipated 12-round match, the Grand Arrivals was held November 1 in the front lobby of the WYNN Hotel for the first time. Vargas arrived  at 12:30 pm followed by Pacquiao at 1:00 pm.

No more than 30 fans and 28 media people gave the two fighters a championship welcome.

“This is the first time we held it here at Wynn. For a decade we’ve been doing this grand arrival in the other hotel. But this is good,” said Lee Samuels.

“Hindi nga namin na may laban si Senator Manny, naglalaro lang kami dito sa WYNN nang makita namin siya (We didn’t even know that Senator Manny has a fight here. We were just playing here at Wynn when we saw him). We are happy and will support Manny,” said a Filipino fan.

This is also the first time that former Trainers of the Year Freddie Roach and Teddy Atlas will be on opposite sides of the ring.

Pacquiao vs. Vargas will take place on November 5, 2016 at Thomas & Mack Center, Paradise, Las Vegas, Nevada. It is promoted by Top Rank®, in association with MP Promotions and Tecate. RPANGILINAN
