A new privilege card offering free accommodations, room discounts, and other hotel perks was launched recently.

Property developer Megaworld Corp. launched last week the Club Access Card, an exclusive privilege membership card packed with perks and discounts that can be used at six existing and 10 soon-to-open Megaworld homegrown hotel brands across the country.

The P6,999 one-time membership fee entitles cardholders to discounts on rooms, dining, amenities, and other hotel services for an entire year. According to Megaworld officials, perks and discounts are available even during special promotions or holidays like Christmas or Mother’s Day.

Included in the card are one complimentary overnight stay in a standard room at any Megaworld hotel, one 50 percent room discount voucher at any Megaworld hotel, one 50 percent discount each at Richmonde Hotel Iloilo, Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, Belmont Hotel Manila, Savoy Hotel Manila, and Savoy Hotel Boracay; and two complimentary upgrades to the next room category at all participating hotels.

Cardholders also get unlimited 20 percent off on “best available rates” in all types of rooms, inclusive of breakfast for two, and 10 percent on promotional rates and special holidays.

Participating brands include Richmonde Hotel Ortigas, Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, Richmonde Hotel Iloilo, Belmont Hotel Manila, Savoy Hotel Manila, and Savoy Hotel Boracay.

Also included are the soon-to-open 126-room Twin Lakes Hotel Tagaytay and 94-room Lucky Chinatown Hotel in Binondo, Manila.

In the next three years, eight more homegrown hotels will open and will become part of the program, these include Savoy Hotel Mactan and Belmont Hotel Mactan Newtown, both in Mactan Island, Cebu; Belmont Hotel Boracay and Chancellor Hotel Boracay, both on Boracay island; Kingsford Hotel and Grand Westside Hotel in Westside City within the booming Entertainment City near Manila Bay; and two more hotels in the Visayas.

“Club Access is designed for the quintessential traveler, someone who wants to experience the best accommodations our hotels can offer in several key destinations like Boracay, Tagaytay, and soon, Cebu,” said Natalie Lim, general manager of Richmonde Hotel Iloilo.

Every stay in a hotel entitles members to exclusive welcome amenities and priority lane “so they don’t need to queue in long lines for check-ins and check-outs,” said Lim.

Club Access members get to dine for free when accompanied by one paying guest at all food and beverage outlets of participating hotels. Members plus two or more, on the other hand, get 20-30 percent off on total bill.

In addition to room and dining perks and discounts, members also get 10 percent off on spa treatments, 20 percent off on annual gym membership fees, 20 percent discount on day pass use of swimming pool, 15 percent off on total food bill for banquets and social events at participating hotels, complimentary non-motorized sports activities for 2 hours at Savoy Hotel Boracay, and complimentary wash and press laundry services, among many others.

“So far, this is the only hotel privilege card that provides more hotel choices within the Philippines, especially in key tourism areas like Boracay and Tagaytay. More than that, this gives our members the reason to patronize hotel brands that are truly Filipino,” said Lim.
