New actress Francine Rifol is not a mean girl, as some people believe. But this comment sounds flattering to Francine, as it means she played her role quite well.

“I was challenged to play the role of a mean girl because that is not my natural attitude. I overcame this challenge by religiously studying my assigned role and researching about it,” says the young actress whose first project was a teleserye at ABS-CBN as the mean classmate of one of the lead characters.

Her upcoming indie film “Patintero: Ang Alamat ni Meng Patalo,” showing in cinemas in September, is so far her favorite. “Patintero” was one of QCinema International Film Festival’s eight locally-produced full-length features for the Circle Competition 2015.

Francine would also like to play other, perhaps sweeter roles, since she is always cast as the mean girl. But Francine says she appreciates whatever role she is given or asked to portray because she just wants to share her talent to the world. Of course, her ultimate dream role is to be the lead character.

Francine started dreaming of entering showbiz when she was 4 years old. Besides acting, Francine is also good in dancing and singing. She has endorsed major brands such as Palmolive and KFC. In all her endeavors, Francine gets inspiration from her family.

“My family is very supportive with my career. They inspire me to do the best I can possibly do,” says Francine who also wants to become a supermodel. Her biggest challenge is balancing her time between working and studying, but with proper time management and setting priorities, Francine continues to hurdle this challenge everyday.

Francine’s beauty secret is no secret at all. She uses YSA Kojic Soap and YSA Lotion. She only trusts YSA Skin and Body Experts SM Fairview branch to take care of her. She also goes regularly at YSA clinics for IPL  treatment.

“I dream of having a successful showbiz career to inspire and give hope to others who have the same dream as mine and to bring joy to others. For other aspiring artists, never stop pursuing your dream,” ends Francine.
