Describing the 2016 FHM 100 Sexiest Victory Party as "one for the books" is somewhat of an understatement.
Brimming with a heavenly dose of glamour, sexiness, and style, this year's gathering paraded the finest women in the land.
The slight alteration of the event's format adhered to FHM's ongoing rebrand and paved the way for a new way to celebrate women. A handful of previous practices were retained, if not improved, to satisfy the new breed of readers that the community is fostering.
Attendees got a taste of the absolute FHM experience: good-natured fun, with a little dash of alcohol, and of course, ladies galore. Here's visual proof:
Before the actual celebration started, early birds limbered up to ultra-interactive sponsor booths assembled at the venue. Okamoto, Petron, Rogin-E, RRJ, Blackwater, Tanduay—cheers!
Shout-out to Tanduay, who quenched our thirst all night long with an impressive selection of cocktails. After all, what would a party be without the booze?
Keeping tradition alive, readers were also given the chance to meet and greet their Cover Girls, including Daiana Menezes and Rhian Ramos, through an autograph signing session.
The Victory Party debuted a fresh concept, going the awards night route, which included letting the ladies go at it in a fashion free-for-all on the red carpet.
Each sponsor had their own head-turning gimmick, from tricky-looking costumes to flat-out babe bombardment. They were all mesmerizing.
FHM pioneer Sunshine Cruz (first-ever Pinay Cover Girl, first 100 Sexiest Philippines' Finest) sent an unsuspecting crowd into a frenzy with her sultry opening number, while a dance showdown between Arny Ross and Dawn Chang ended with the audience being the big winner.
Aside from the non-stop cheering by the crowd (Kim Domingo and Rachel Anne Daquis received the loudest ovation), those who made it to the Sexiest List were also given a plaque and bouquet, which symbolized the magazine's utmost respect to the recipients.
The catwalk was basically a scorching collection of newcomers eager to make a mark, returnees with renewed confidence, and a few honorable mentions, like two-time Sexiest Woman Sam Pinto and FHM XV Cover Girl Max Collins.
Three-time Sexiest Woman and Comeback Queen Marian Rivera graced us with her royal presence and etched her place in the FHM Hall of Fame. We may have a new symbol of sexy, but Mommy Yan will forever hold a special place in FHM history.
Last but most certainly not the least, the arrival of this year's Sexiest Woman in the Land, Jessy Mendiola. It was the culmination of her underrated "sexy" run and crusade against body-shaming; the last woman to walk the runway, queen at last.
