Two people have been hospitalized after a reported shooting in the Brocklehurst neighbourhood of Kamloops, B.C.

B.C. Emergency Health Services spokesperson Shannon Miller said paramedics received a call about a shooting just before 4 p.m. PT on  Friday. According to Miller, paramedics transported one person in serious condition and one person in critical condition to hospital.

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) has confirmed multiple cases of measles at two French schools in the city of Vancouver.

In a letter sent to parents Thursday, the health authority said "several cases" of the highly contagious disease have been identified at École Jules-Verne with another at École Anne-Hébert. Students and staff at the latter may have been exposed to measles on Jan. 25.

Sean Giesbrecht and Gillian Epp have had a busy few months in court. The two competitive poker players and their Vancouver moving company now owe $41,000, thanks to two recent small claims rulings.

They're appealing one of those decisions, alleging the judge who chewed them out for "unconscionable and extortionate business practices" was biased against them. Meanwhile, a judicial officer in Kelowna resorted to arrest warrants to get Giesbrecht and Epp in court to discuss payment of their debt.
